What Are Your Biggest Questions About Sex And Motherhood?
words: mater mea
We're partnering with parenting podcast The Longest Shortest Time to answer them!
We've been around the block a few times, but sex hasn't gotten any less complicated than when we first had it—and from what we hear, it doesn't get any easier once you become a mom.
Instead of typing in "Is this normal?" in a Google search bar, we want women to be able to have an open and honest conversation about sex and motherhood. And who better to help us with that than our good friends at WNYC parenting podcast The Longest Shortest Time?
On October 6, Longest Shortest Time host Hillary Frank will facilitate an honest conversation about sex and parenthood with guests Twanna Hines and Dr. Hilda Hutcherson during an event we're calling The Parents' Guide to Doing It Live. The guests will be responding to listener questions submitted before and at the live event. (You can buy your tickets here!)
From trying to conceive to having sex after loss, no question is taboo. And we think it's safe to say that these panelists will be able to answer whatever you throw their way: Twanna Hines of Funky Brown Chick is an award-winning sex educator who has been featured on CNN, NPR, Sirius, and the CBC and Dr. Hilda Hutcherson is an OB-GYN and Columbia University professor who has written several books about sex and sexuality including Pleasure and What Your Mother Never Told You About Sex.
Have a burning question you want answered? You can do one of two things:
- Leave your questions in the comments.
- Record a voice memo with your first name and your question, and then email it to firstname.lastname@example.org with the subject ADVICE.
We hope to see you there! And if you can't make it, no worries—there will be a live recording of the event for you to listen to after the show!
