Listen: D'Angelo Drops 'Black Messiah,' His First Album In 14 Years

Words: mater mea

It's been a long time since we've heard music from the soulful R&B singer. But he's back with a new band and album.

Say the name D'Angelo and a number of people who listened to music in the '90s will immediately begin fanning themselves, remembering the singer's sexy albums Brown Sugar, Voodoo—and his unforgettable video for "Untitled (How Does It Feel)."

But besides a series of erratic behavior and compilation albums, fans have been left feigning for new material. That is until now: D'Angelo just released Black Messiah, his first album in 14 years since 2000's Voodoo. You can listen to the full album for free on Spotfiy and buy on iTunes. What do you think? Was it worth the wait?
