WELCOME TO MATER MEA
mater mea is a bimonthly online magazine that celebrates the lives of high-profile women of color as they balance work and motherhood. Using stunning photography and in-depth profiles, readers are immersed into the lives of awe-inpsiring women in the most intimate of settings: at home, with their children.
mater mea strives to present a more realistic narrative of black motherhood and open up the on-going “Can women have it all?” conversation to this underrepresented group, profiling such luminaries as poet Staceyann Chin, performer Rhonda Ross (daughter of singer Diana Ross), artist Wangechi Mutu, and Broadway star Alicia Hall Moran.
Interested in being featured on mater mea, or know of someone we should feature? We are always interested in the stories of our readers. Send us a note with some details to info@matermea.com.
